EXPLORING COVID-19'S INTERSECTIONAL IMPACT ON WOMEN & GIRLS WORLDWIDE WEBINAR SERIES

July 26 – August 29 on Zoom

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our webinar series! Please explore this website to find recorded past sessions, resources to take action, and information about all of our partners!

Join an international coalition of Girl Up affiliates for our upcoming webinar series. Beginning July 26 at 3 pm EST/8 pm BST, Girl Up campuses across the world are hosting speakers, running discussions, and facilitating panels, unpacking the multifaceted effects of COVID-19 on women and girls. Full of advocates, scholars, and key stakeholders, each webinar shines light on a various angle of COVID-19’s consequences on women and girls around the globe. Although conducted in English, sessions will include Spanish, French, and Portuguese translations. Our mission is to unite all women and girls in the commonalities of our COVID-19 experiences, while emphasising intersecting factors, including race, gender, sexuality, ability, class, as well as political, economic, social, and environmental considerations, that uniquely exacerbate the pandemic’s devastation. To attend a session and be sent the Zoom link, register for a ticket by clicking on the event below! Instead of a fixed ticket price, we are asking for donations which will go directly to the participating NGOs fighting on the COVID-19 gender equality forefront, and to the Girl Up UN Campaign.
